Itinerary

Day 1Bhubaneswar – Konark - Puri Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway Station

Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway Station, Pick up, then proceed to Puri. En route visit Dhauli Peace Pagoda, Pipili Applique Village. Then drive to Konark to visit the Sun Temple, visit Chandrabhaga Beach, Ramachandi Temple. Check in hotel, after refreshment have dinner, overnight stay at Puri. Dhauli – It is one of the famous Buddhist destinations in India, where Mauryan Emperor Ashoka renounced the path of violence and embraced Buddhism, after witnessing the devastation of Kalinga war & also known as “Peace Pagoda”. Pipili – It is Famous for Appliqué work and also known as the handicraft village. Sun Temple – The temple was built by King Narasimhadeo in the 13th century, it is counted among the 7 wonders of India, famous for world heritage site & also known as “Black Pagoda”. Dedicated to the Hindu Sun God Surya, what remains of the temple complex has the appearance of a 100 ft (30 m) high chariot with immense wheels and horses, all carved from stone. Chandrabhaga Beach – Cultural and traditional identity of Orissa, which is famous for its long stretch of golden sand bordered with casuarinas. Ramachandi Temple – It is on a beautiful spot on the banks of the Kusabhadra River. Goddess Ramachandi, the deity of Konark is thought by some to be the presiding deity of this temple, while others thought it to be the temple of Mayadevi, wife of Surya.

Day 2 visit to world famous Jagannath Temple

Jagannath Temple with Raghurajpur After breakfast visit to world famous Jagannath Temple (only Hindus are allowed inside the premises of Jagannath temple). Then proceed to visit Sakshigopal Temple, Raghurajpur Artisan Village, enjoy the Gotipua Dance. Then back to hotel in Puri, have dinner, overnight stay at Puri. (Please Note, Gotipua Dance will cost extra @ 3500/- for 45 Minutes which is not included in the package cost. On request we will arrange it.) Jagannath temple – One of the four dhams, the temple is sacred to all Hindus and especially in those of the Vaishnava traditions. Many great Vaishnava saints, such as Ramanujacharya, Madhvacharya, Nimbarkacharya, Vallabhacharya and Ramananda were closely associated with the temple. Sakshigopal Temple – It is formally known as Satyabadi Gopinatha Temple is a medieval temple dedicated to Lord Gopinatha. Raghurajpur – It is the heritage crafts village, famous for its master Pattachitra painters. Gotipua Dance – Gotipua is a traditional dance form in the state of Odisha, India, and the precursor of Odissi classical dance. It has been performed in Orissa for centuries by young boys, who dress as women to praise Jagannath and Krishna. The dance is executed by a group of boys who perform acrobatic figures inspired by the life of Radha and Krishna.

Day 3Satapada (Chillika) With Golden Beach

Satapada (Chillika) With Golden Beach After breakfast proceed to Chilika Lake, on arrival at Satapara see the Irrawaddy Dolphins and the Sea mouth (the point where the lake meets the sea), Virgin Island, Birds Island. Then back to Puri, then relax at golden sea beach, free for beach activity and free time shopping at Local market, back to hotel and have dinner. Overnight @ Puri. Chilika Lake – It is Asia’s largest brackish water lake & spreads across 1,100 sq km. The lake is a winter hub of many spectacular migratory birds. The view of sunset & sunrise is a delight to watch. It has been listed as a tentative UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 5Puri-Kalijai - Mangalajodi - Bhubaneswar

Puri-Kalijai – Mangalajodi – Bhubaneswar:- After breakfast proceed to Kalijai, visit Kalijai Temple or Taratarini Temple. Then proceed to Mangalajodi, enjoy the boat ride. Then drive to Bhubaneswar, check in hotel, take dinner, overnight stay @ Bhubaneswar. Kalijai Temple – It is located on an island in Chilika Lake. It is considered to be the abode of the Goddess Kalijai. Highly revered by the local populace, the deity has been venerated in the local folklores and legends. Taratarini Temple – It is worshiped as the Breast Shrine (Sthana Peetha) and manifestations of Adi Shakti. The Tara Tarini Shakti Peetha is one of the oldest pilgrimage centers of the Mother Goddess and is one of four major ancient Tantra Peetha and Shakti Peethas in India. Mangalajodi – It is also known as heaven of water birds. Its vast wetlands attract thousands of migratory birds, journeying from as far different places of the world. Its wetlands now host more than 1.5 lakhs of birds in the peak season. November to March is a good time to visit for enjoying an amazing experience. Its importance as a significant global wetland habitat and declared as an International Bird Conservation Area.

Day 5Bhubaneswar – Jajpur - Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar – Jajpur – Bhubaneswar After breakfast drive to visit Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain Caves, Kalabhoomi Craft Museum (Closed on Monday). Then proceed to Cuttack, visit Odisha Maritime Museum (closed on Monday), Peacock Valley(03:00P.M-04:30P.M). Then back to hotel, take dinner, overnight @ Bhubaneswar. Khandagiri & Udayagiri – The famous rock-cut caves Hatigumpha and wonderful sculptures in Ranigumpha built by Mahameghavahana AiraKharavela. Kalabhoomi Craft Museum – It is dedicated to the art and crafts of Odisha. The museum celebrates the craftsmanship of Odia artisans by putting on display their breath-taking masterpieces. Odisha Maritime Museum – The Museum devoted to the region’s maritime heritage, with model boats, navigational equipment & more. The chief attractions are the wooden boat replica’s, the huge boat shed and the lathe which was the largest in Asia during its time. The addition of the 3D shows along with the aquarium section to the museum is a huge draw especially for the kids. Peacock Valley – A place in Cuttack where More Than 100 peacock can be seen at a time and at around 03:00P.M-04:30P.M.

Day 6Bhubaneswar – Cuttack

Bhubaneswar – Cuttack – Bhubaneswar After breakfast visit Nandankanan (Closed On Monday). Then drive to Jajpur, visit Biraja Devi(Girija Devi) Temple, in the evening enjoy light and sound show at Kusuma Park. Then back to hotel, take dinner and overnight stay at Bhubaneswar. Nandankanan – Nandankanan, literally meaning The Garden of Heaven, It was opened to the public in 1979 and became the first zoo in India to join World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) in 2009 The most attractions are white tiger, Lion safari and the Botanical garden. Biraja Devi Temple – It is a historic Hindu temple and was built during the 13th century. The principal idol is Devi Durga, who is worshiped as Viraja (Girija), The idol’s crown features Ganesha, a crescent moon and a lingam. According to the Skanda Purana it cleanses pilgrims, and it is called the Viraja or the Biraja kshetra. Kusuma Park – The heritage pond spread over 27 acres. The pond’s colourful flowers, blue waters, lush greenery, children’s play hub and artificial fountains are indeed a delight.

Day 7Departure from Hotel to Bhubaneswar Airport

Departure from Hotel to Bhubaneswar Airport After breakfast check-out from hotel, visit Lingaraj Temple, then drop at Bhubaneswar Railway station / Airport for your onward journey with sweet memories of Odisha. Lingaraj Temple – It is dedicated to Harihara, a combination of Lord Shiv & Vishnu, this temple was constructed in the 11th century, by Jajati Keshari, a Somavanshi king.
